Within the island’s mondi, vegetation grows through, around, and alongside other forms, adapting to drought, wind, salt, and limited resources. Survival is rarely isolated; it exists through relationships, crossings,\u003cbr\u003eand coexistence. Layers of color, line, and texture accumulate across the surface,\u003cbr\u003eallowing forms to emerge, intersect, and dissolve. Rather than depicting a specific place, the work draws from the rhythms and structures of the landscape itself, where growth and erosion, presence and absence, exist simultaneously. For me, these patterns extend beyond the natural environment. They echo broader Caribbean experiences shaped by movement, adaptation, and the ability to respond to changing circumstances\u003cbr\u003ewhile remaining connected to place.
