Born into a multicultural family with roots in Ivory Coast\u003cbr\u003eand the Central African Republic, she draws on these heritages to question\u003cbr\u003ethe construction of identities within the Black Atlantic.\u003cbr\u003e\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp style=\"text-align: center;\"\u003eA graduate of Harrington College of Design in Chicago (2014) and holder of\u003cbr\u003ea master's degree in Art and International Creation from Université Paris 1\u003cbr\u003ePanthéon-Sorbonne (2025), she is currently a doctoral candidate there,\u003cbr\u003eworking on a thesis titled \"Faire-kaz: Art and Diasporic Utopias in the Black\u003cbr\u003eAtlantic between 2009 and 2029\".\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp style=\"text-align: center;\"\u003e\u003cbr\u003eIn 2015, she launched Reines Des Temps Modernes, a long-term exploration\u003cbr\u003eof Black female representations, deepened in 2020 with Corsé de cuirs (Neg\u003cbr\u003eMawons editions). She also co-founded Bazaart, an association awarded the\u003cbr\u003eMansaLab program (2025).\u003cbr\u003e\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp style=\"text-align: center;\"\u003eSince 2022, she has developed masonn, a transnational, transmedia project\u003cbr\u003eexploring vernacular architecture and mystic realism in the Black Atlantic,\u003cbr\u003eexhibited in South Korea, Brazil, France, Ivory Coast and Senegal. A laureate\u003cbr\u003eof the ONDES 2024 program and former resident at the Cité internationale\u003cbr\u003edes Arts, she was selected among the 23 laureates of the 2025 Festival\u003cbr\u003eCirculation(s), with ongoing residencies and exhibitions across Côte d'Ivoire,\u003cbr\u003eBrazil and Guyane.\u003cbr\u003e\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp style=\"text-align: center;\"\u003eShe also leads collage and sensitive-mapping workshops, notably with\u003cbr\u003eCENTQUATRE-PARIS.\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp style=\"text-align: center;\"\u003e \u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp style=\"text-align: center;\"\u003eArtist statement\u003cbr\u003e\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp style=\"text-align: center;\"\u003eWendie Zahibo's work is rooted in theoretical, visual, and performative research on\u003cbr\u003eAfrican-Caribbean and diasporic identities. Through photography, collage, poetry, and\u003cbr\u003einstallation, she maps an archipelagic cartography of resistant memories, radical archives, and Black Atlantic geographies.\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp style=\"text-align: center;\"\u003e\u003cbr\u003eBorn into a multicultural family with African roots (Ivorian and Central African) and\u003cbr\u003eCaribbean branches (Guadeloupe), she draws on African-Caribbean cosmogonies and\u003cbr\u003ethe contemporary Afro-diasporic experience to examine the relationships between the\u003cbr\u003evisible and the invisible, between inhabited architecture and the narratives that run through it.
