Collection: Kesia Estwick

B. 1990 - Barbados

Kesia Makeba Estwick, also known by the artist pseudonym, King Kesia, is a Bajan
visual artist and former fashion designer currently based in Bridgetown, Barbados.
Growing up in the countryside of Barbados, her early connection with art sparked a
lifelong passion for creativity. Exploring diverse disciplines from her pre-teen years
onward, she has built a career that reflects both versatility and reinvention.
Her artistic journey first gained international attention in fashion, with collections
showcased at global runways, gowns designed for top contestants of Britain’s Next
Top Model and representing Barbados in the regional fashion reality show Mission
Cartwalk. Beyond fashion, Kesia expanded her practice into handmade home décor
and large-scale murals, bringing her signature aesthetic to thriving businesses and
contemporary homes.

King Kesia has received global acclaim for her artistry as a self-taught, yet brilliant
painter. She debuted at the world-renowned San Francisco Art Fair in 2023, an
astonishing feat for an emerging artist. Since then, King Kesia has exhibited in
Mustique Island SVG, Brooklyn, New York, Jersey City, New Jersey, Washington,
D.C., and throughout Barbados. In 2025, she was nominated for the prestigious
Sakura Art Prize in Tokyo, Japan. That same year, she flew to Karachi at the
invitation of the Pakistan Arts Council to exhibit her latest artworks and host
training workshops for emerging artists inspired by her work.
