ARTIST STATEMENT

My work refers to cavities and cellular forms from which species, sometimes hybrid, and
imaginary organisms emerge. Through drawing, painting, and sculpture, I build a body of
work that proposes other ways of existing and inhabiting the world. I am interested in
exploring the boundaries where the real, the imaginary, and the biological merge.
