Description:
Té Fen explores memories embedded within material and territory.
Created from a textile brought back from Côte d'Ivoire, the work
combines dyeing, painting, and goat skin in a layered composition
where each stratum functions as a deposit of memory. The red, earthy
tones evoke landscapes, traces of time, and the stories that become
inscribed within matter. Through its material presence, the work reflects
on transmission, belonging, and the enduring relationship between
land, memory, and cultural heritage.
Themes:
Memory, transmission, territory, materiality, cultural heritage,
Caribbean Soul.
