Set against a weathered creole house facade in Bouillante, Guadeloupe, this piece captures a figure in motion, repeated across the frame in a sequence of steps, golden butterfly-like wings unfurled at her back, a fleeting presence caught between the everyday and the mythical, rooted in the island's architectural and cultural heritage.
These works belongs to the "Collages" series, in which fragments of dwellings and portraits, photographed in places dear to the artist, are digitally combined to build new imaginaries, reflecting a personal history shaped by growing up in Guadeloupe to Ivorian and Central African parents.
